SFR3 is a boutique real estate investment fund in the emerging single family investment space. The Fund specializes in buying and renovating distressed homes and using software-driven operations to scale a large number of smaller “tertiary” markets concurrently. Founded in 2017, SFR3 has quickly become one of the largest owners of single family homes in the country. This has been done by combining great people and great technology. SFR3 is much more like a tech company than most private equity groups in the space. This can be seen in everything from the people we hire to the speed at which we move to our mindset on testing and constant improvement.

Leasing homes quickly and for top dollar is one of the biggest drivers of our success. Currently, this is done through third party property managers and leasing agents. We are in the process of bringing this in house and you will be our first hire to build the strongest leasing team in the country. Are you up for the challenge? You will have an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and own the leasing arm of SFR3 and help us build the leasing tech + process you have previously only dreamed of. Your task is to build the best leasing operation and team in America. At your disposal is a talented team including sales leaders, experts on operations and building out teams and an amazing product and engineering team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Build a World Class Leasing Team. Your mission is simple: The Best Leasing Team in America. We are buying and renovating 500+ homes/month and will soon be leasing 1000+homes/month. You will have the opportunity to build a world class Leasing team from scratch that will span across the country. The leasing team will lease a TON of homes, at speed, with outstanding effeciency. Do you know how to identify an A+ player (Leasing Agent)? Do you know how to effectively train, coach, and manage a team to be full of top producers?

Onboard + Train. Design & lead SFR3’s Bootcamp for new Leasing hires. Can you teach someone to become a Top 1% Leasing Agent in the county? What best practices will ensure your team of leasing agents are the best in the country? We must have A+ players in each position to ensure we are leasing as many homes as possible in every market. You will own onboarding and training geared towards key techniques/skills that you know produce.

Coaching + Management. Even a #1 Leasing Agent has areas for improvement, and everyone benefits from check-ins and coaching. You are a leader who leads by example. Leveraging previous experience to coach, manage, and mentor a top producing team to push even further. Moving the goalpost motivates and “fires up” the team.

Sales. This is a sales driven role and team. You approach leasing through a sales lens and ensure the team uses the best conversion tactics.

Growth. You will be the first hire on this team and will be given the opportunity to build the leasing team and technology stack you have always wanted. At SFR3 we believe in total transparency and paying for performance. For every 250+ homes a leasing agent leases they will automatically move up to the next level at SFR3 and see a commensurate increase in your compensation.

Leverage SFR3’s technology team to define, build, & iterate on software & platforms to help you lease homes more quickly, more efficiently, and to deliver a successful financial outcome.

Performance measured in part by these KPIs:

  • Volume: # of homes leased. More homes! New channels!
  • Speed to Lead & Follow-up: We are big believes in making contact with every lead and following-up consistently
  • Customer Experience: Leasing team will provide an A+ experience for everyone you interact with both inside and outside SFR3.
  • SFR3 reputation: TBD eval method. Do The Right Thing. Be fair, be tough, be loved.


The Skills & Experience We're Looking For

SFR Leasing Experience. You have experience in a Lead/Head leasing role. You have managed (producing) leasing teams across the country.

Top Level Producer. You and your team produce. No matter. You have consistently shown yourself to be one of the top producers in whatever you are selling.

Proactive Mindset. You have a strong bias towards action. You know it might be the first, fourth or sixth call or text message that gets the home leased. You have a true passion for sales and leasing.

Dealmaker’s hunger. You. Win. Every. Deal. And you love that. Each time the phone rings, you can’t help but leap at the chance to make a deal.

Champion’s mindset. You hunger to win. You burn when you don’t. And when you get knocked down, you dust off, pick yourself up, and get right back after it.

Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on. You persevere when others fall away.

Technology is your tool. You constantly evaluate how your efforts can be massively leveraged by technology, from simple spreadsheets and macros to APIs and enterprise-grade software. You communicate your ideas and requirements to engineers crisply and coherently so they can build the best tools quickly.
